The CBERS is a program developed by Brazil and China to develop launch and operate a family of Earth observation satellites.

Two sattelites are in orbit and other one is under ground test prior to launching.

Akaer, as part of a Brazilian consortium, provided technical services regarding the structure subsystem, integration support, MGSE design and tests activities.

The main activities were:

• · Production engineering
• · Inspection routines implementation
• · Integration procedures for test models
• · Assembling procedures
• · Assembly instrumentation and execution of static tests
• · Design of dummies for vibration test
• · Specification, conception, design and engineering of all the MGSE’s including a Deployment Rig, for solar panel tests.
