Super Tucano

Advanced turboprop trainer and light attack aircraft.

In 1997, Akaer was subcontracted by Embraer under Brazilian Air Force approval to be responsible for the development activities of Super Tucano wings, rear fuselage and empennages structures.

Main activities included structural conception, design, stress analysis, system and FTI installation, configuration control, test proposals and certification reports (FAR 23/MIL-STD-1530) as well as technical support for static, fatigue and damage tolerance.

Catia and Electronic Mock-up tools were widely used for structural design and for system installation. The main systems were:
